Bath Archers is one of the largest archery clubs in the South West of England and one of the oldest archery clubs in Britain. We are pleased to have you visit our website but would prefer you to join us at the range. Our range is at Avonmead, situated alongside the river Avon on the eastern fringe of Bath, we also have our own Field course situated about 6 miles south east of Bath. Non-members are welcome to join Bath Archers at any of our shooting events and beginners can come to our lessons or 'have-a-go'.

about us

Start adventura as Archer

Please note that there is a minimum age of 12 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also participating in the course. In addition, all juniors below the age of 16 need to have a parent or guardian present on the field during the lessons (but not necessarily participating in the course).

Wear like an Archer!

The dress code for all lessons is flat shoes and close fitting upper clothing. Lessons are held in the evenings, so please make sure you are wearing enough clothing to be comfortable standing outside for a couple of hours. The weather is not always as good as the picture above, but lessons will go ahead unless the weather is particularly bad, so be prepared!

"Archery does not get difficult or hard to understand until the arrow misses"

Milan E. Elott

We generally run 2 sets of lessons during the summer, one starting early May, and the second in early July. Both will be run on Monday evenings, and the course lasts six weeks. The lessons cost , payable in advance, with (or for juniors) of this deductable off your membership if you decide to join the club after the course has finished. Details will be sent out to all those already on the waiting list in early Spring, with places being allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Last summer our courses were very popular, so if you would like to participate in the summer, make sure you get in early. If you would like to register your interest in lessons, then please e-mail us! We especially thank our sponsors
